Especially for Choristers

Primary chorister is the best calling in the church! But it's also a lot of work! It is easy to feel overwhelmed or inadequate. Building a strong spiritual base for your work will help you to overcome these feelings and support the work that you do. Here are some good things to focus on:
Teach with the Spirit
There are two things that are most important in your calling and this is the first one. Music is a strong conveyer of the spirit. Create a space, during singing time, where the spirit can be felt and testimonies can grow. Make sure your own personal testimony shines through everything you do.
Know and Love the Children
This is the second important thing. If you only did these two things and nothing else, you would be a successful and prized chorister. It is imperative that you know the children's names - make it a priority. Pray for and exhibit increased love for the children in your primary.
Preparation
If ye are prepared, ye shall not fear! It is important for you to know the songs that you are teaching. Make it a goal to not use the songbook during singing time. The spirit will be more active and your stress level lower if you prepare.
